English Language Learning (ELL)

Program Overview

Westfield Washington Public Library offers free ELL classes to Hamilton County, Indiana residents. After free placement testing, English language learners will be placed in either an Introductory, or Level 1-5 English class, using materials from Intercambio.org, which will be provided to them by the library. Best efforts will be made to assign English language learners to a class at a time that is convenient for them, within the open hours of the library. Each class meets once a week for 16 weeks, for 1.5 hours each class period. No formal classes are offered during the summer, but from June through August, we offer weekly English Conversation Practice sessions on alternating Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons.
