English Language Learning (ELL)

Program Overview

Westfield Washington Public Library offers free ELL classes to Hamilton County, Indiana residents. After free placement testing, English language learners will be placed in either an Introductory, or Level 1-5 English class, using materials from Intercambio.org, which will be provided to them by the library. Best efforts will be made to assign English language learners to a class at a time that is convenient for them, within the open hours of the library. Each class meets once a week, for 1.5 hours. In the spring of 2024, the length of the class session is 12 weeks. Beginning in the fall of 2024, the length of the class session will be 16 weeks, to allow for a more relaxed pace.
