English Innovations ESL Class

Program Overview

English Innovations is a blended social learning model that integrates English language learning and combines a collaborative, supportive classroom environment with online tools that enable self-paced, independent learning. Michigan United is a community social justice non-profit that among many initiatives works for Immigrants Rights. We have a services department that includes both ESL and Citizenship classes. The ESL program collaborates with OneAmerica and uses the English Innovations model in their classes. The class will be starting its seventh cycle this winter. Each cycle is a 12 week class, and both a morning and evening class with approximately a 30 student capacity is offered. It has served hundreds of adult immigrants with English language acquisition and helped ease the transition to America and support success in a new country.
