Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"My tutor helped me to understand so much--not only about English, but also about life in the U.S." --a student

"English in Action is my family in America." --a student

"Each student is a looking glass into another world. Using their life and interests as a guide, I seek topics of conversation that will help the student fell comfortable in speaking a language formerly limited to a classroom. Isn't this bonding the reward that can bring us tolerance and understanding of one another?" --a tutor

"I can now speak more fluently and I can understand better than before. The relaxed atmosphere and the one-to-one conversations have helped me greatly. I thank you for the opportunity you have given me to improve my English." --a student
