Hodges University’s English Grammar Online Program, a sequential system for understanding English grammar from basic to advanced skill levels. Our self-paced online program has been designed specifically for adult learners of English who want to use English accurately and confidently. Gain the skills you need using nouns, verbs, clauses, and adverbs, and start expanding your ability to use English effectively and intentionally for home, work, or school. English Grammar Online is for individuals who need the flexibility of learning online, have access to a smartphone or mobile device, are shy or embarrassed about communicating in a classroom, and want an English course that delivers high quality, structured English lessons at an affordable price.

This certificate program is designed to provide English as a Second Language instruction to enhance your existing knowledge, training, and job skills. Our certificate program can further your ability to communicate in English for employment and/or college opportunities in the United States.

All ESL classes are available online through our Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC) format. With TEC, you can learn and practice your English skills online from the comfort of your home.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

Dianelys Navarro is the epitome of a Hodges success story. She enrolled in the English-as-a-Second-Language certificate program in 2014. Upon completion of the program, Dianelys continued to focus on English-language proficiency and further her education. She completed an associate and bachelor's degree at Hodges University, and also became a full-time employee. While progressively advancing her career, she continued her educational journey at Hodges University earning a graduate certificate and two master's degrees. As of March 2022, Dianelys is responsible for overseeing the admissions process for applicants for the English-as-a-Second-Language program...the same program that she began as a student in 2014 to improve her English proficiency. Although her success story is still being written, Dianelys now is able to help others begin the same process so they may have success stories of their own.
