Program Overview

Emerge seeks to fulfill the rigorous academic goal which exists for various mid-skill training programs, and by coupling with our existing job readiness services, produces well-rounded program graduates with essential soft-skills that employers are seeking. The overall goal of Emerge is two-fold: (1) match qualified participants to vacancies in existing mid-skill training programs; and for those who do not currently meet academic requirements, (2) increase each adult learner's Reading Comprehension and Mathematical skills through our 12-week instructional course in order to successfully pass desired pre-employment exams for mid-skilled job training. Emerge is available at our main career center (co-located at our headquarters in downtown Baltimore) and is an extension to our existing on-site services which include: job readiness training, case management, job placement and retention, and transitional employment opportunities.
