Program Overview
The Youth Employment Project provides Philadelphia out-of-school young adults ages 16 to 24 with transitional support services to find educational and career opportunities. The program assists participants with enhancing their skillset through academic support, career counseling and professional development workshops. Our mission is to help young adults successfully transition into employment, college, pre apprenticeship, and adulthood. The program services are free and include:
- Individualized career development and coaching
- GED prep classes and career/educational exploration
- Paid internship opportunities and pre-apprenticeship referrals
- Job readiness and life skills training workshops
- Transportation assistance and monetary incentives
