Program Overview

The Durango / Cortez Adult Education Center has served SW Colorado for 35 years. DAEC offers high school equivalency (GED, HSE), English as a second language (ESL), Career Counseling, continuing education opportunities, and is a Pearson Vue testing center. Classes are taught by highly qualified, certified teachers. All classes are live, with distance learning options during this time of COVID restrictions.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Durango Adult Education Center, a caring learning community, is to fill educational gaps by providing the skills and knowledge necessary for livable wage careers, post-secondary education, and social and economic mobility.
