Program Overview

Byte Back teaches two digital literacy courses. For those with no or minimal computer experience, PC for Beginners instruction includes:

  • Learning basic computer parts and functions
  • Practicing typing and using a mouse correctly
  • An introduction to email
  • How to search the Internet
  • Creation and management of files and folders
  • Understanding memory and storage basics

The second digital literacy course is Office Track. This intermediate course provides the learner with skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Digital literacy classes are instructed in English or Spanish.
