Program Overview

The Harrie P. Woodson Memorial Library offers several programs
to help adults meet their basic adult education needs at no cost. In-person
classes are very small. Tutoring is one-on-one.

GED and ESL: We partner with Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley and Blinn College Adult Education to bring on-line instruction to Caldwell.

Adult Literacy: We offer one-on-one tutoring, provided by volunteers, to teach
adult basic literacy.

Digital Literacy for GED and ESL: We offer on-demand, weekly classes to teach fundamental computer skills, how to access and use Zoom, how to use the group message app, Remind, and how to submit the necessary digital forms in order to enroll in GED and ESL classes offered by Blinn College Adult Education.

Digital Literacy for Seniors*: We offer monthly classes to teach the rudiments of using the computer. Even if you have never touched a computer, you will feel comfortable. (*These are designed for seniors but we welcome adult students of any age.)
