Student and Volunteer Success Stories
My Success Story
I was a fresh out of high school graduate. I needed to take a math class for college credit. I talked to Amy Fish, to see if there was an outlet near Waubun Minnesota to go to for my math class, because of transportation problems. She taught the math class for carpentry students in Waubun. I joined the class. Amy helped me learn about basic math. It was a small class room, which I would go to two days a week. Amy made math fun. With Amy's help, I succeeded in my basic math class and I am currently going to college for three majors in the computer field. I will be second in my family to go to college and the first to graduate. It has been a challenge to go to college and stay determined. If I put my mind to do something I have to do it! I'm thankful for all the help that Adult Basic Education did for me and continues to help me.
