Delta Care Hope Enrichment Programs

Program Overview

Delta Care Hope (DCH) is a non-profit community-based organization that offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children and others in the community. The programs are offered to individuals who are below the poverty level seeking to learn to read, strengthen reading abilities, and /or prepare to take the Graduate Education Development (GED) test. The expected outcome improves vocabulary, spelling, reading, grammar skills, and self-confidence. The services are provided Monday thru Thursday, free of charge. We currently have adult literacy, an afterschool program, mentoring, and summer enrichment programs.

I am very pleased with the literacy program. As an adult I have had struggles with reading and comprehension. This program has helped me improved my reading skills. I have gained more confidence reading in the public since attending the program.

I've had the pleasure as a volunteer with the literacy program at Delta Care Hope Empowering Adult Day Care. They provide fabulous educational activities to
seniors and non-seniors alike and delicately handle educating the families they work with, enabling them to make smarter and better decisions for the long run.
As a volunteer with the literacy program, I am elated to see the progress of M.W. She has put much effort in maximizing her reading and comprehension skills. Working one on one with her has shown me that this program will provide assistance to adults on all levels in enhancing literacy in all areas needed. I strongly encourage anyone considering Delta Care Hope Foundation Literacy program to seek them out, partake in their wisdom and benefit from their experience in the industry. We may only make this kind of decision once in a lifetime.

From a parent- I am very thankful and pleased with the DCH Afterschool Program. My child has been falling behind in school since enrolled in the afterschool program, my child has been on the honor roll for the past two nine weeks.
