Delano School Readiness-Wee Tiger Preschool

Program Overview

We are a tuition based program partnered with the Minnesota Reading Corps. We provide services to both regular ed and special ed children ages 3 to the year before kindergarten. We use the Creative Curriculum for both classroom instruction and assesment. We provide half day preschool with the option of making it a full day experience. We are a 4-star Parent Aware rated program. Each class is taught by a highly qualified licensed teacher and is limited in class size to maximize student learning time.

Through the implementation of The Minnesota Reading Corps program into each classroom, we have seen tremendous growth. Each child's skills show true growth from fall to spring benchmarking. It has been fun to watch each child's knowledge expand especially if they are with us for multiple years.

Because of our affiliation with the school district we are able to reach more and more students through early intervention services. By identifying students who show a developmental need early, we are able to start Early Childhood Special Education services before the child enters kindergarten. This creates less of a need to pull the child for services once they start kindergarten.
