Program Overview

The Corning Adult School is a part of the Corning Union High School District dedicated to helping adults in the community attain their basic skills, Adult High School Diploma/GED, learn English as a Second Language or pass their Citizenship.

Corning Adult school is located at the east end of Fig Lane, across from Estil Clark Park. The adult school also provides childcare for children while their parents are attending most of our classes.

A diploma is essential to success in the workplace today. Instruction is provided for each student based on their needs. A student's credits are evaluated and a study plan is created to provide them with a printout of exactly what credits they need to receive a diploma from the adult school. A student must be 18 years or older to attend our program.

The Corning Adult School is a public adult school, part of the Corning Union High School District. The school has been operating since 1994. Corning Adult School provides basic skills education including English as a Second Language up to adult school diploma /GED preparation. We are funded by a Workforce Investment Act Federal Grant and Cal Works through our local Social Services Agency.
