  • ESL and Citizenship Classes: Learn English and prepare for the U.S. citizenship test.
  • After-School & Summer Programs: Fun and educational activities for youth.
  • Youth Mentorship: Support for students ages 15–24.
  • Women's Empowerment: Activities that help women build skills and confidence.
  • Senior Socialization: A friendly place for older adults to connect.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

At COMSA, we believe that children and young adults are the future of our community. One of the greatest joys of our work is seeing their smiles grow brighter as new opportunities open for them.

A refugee family from Ukraine came to COMSA hoping to help their oldest son, Sviatoslav, continue his education. At 19, he dreamed of going to college but wasn't sure he had the English skills or confidence to take that next step. As a participant in our Refugee Youth Mentorship (RYM) Program, he worked hard—balancing full-time work at a local factory, welding skill development, and English classes at COMSA.

With dedication, support, and a strong belief in his future, Sviatoslav reached the English level he needed to take his college exams. And he passed.

On March 26, he proudly began his first day as a student at a local community college.

His journey is a reminder that with the right support, determination, and community behind you, dreams can become reality.

We are so proud of you, Sviatoslav!
