Student and Volunteer Success Stories

We had a student who came to us just out of incarceration and very new to recovery, who completed our 12 week culinary program and then completed our 2,000 registered apprenticeship program. He was dealing with medical issues related to his past addiction; he was working on getting custody of his children; and trying to help his wife who was dealing with her own recovery and criminal conviction. During his time with us he reunited with his children and his wife (his wife also joined our program). He is now a Sous Chef with Cura Hospitality working within the Allegheny Health Network system, a huge opportunity for him and his family. We couldn't be happier about his professional career path.
