Program Overview

The Cloud & Fire YouthBuild program is more than just a school or training program. It is a community of people who really care about one another and who are committed to each others success. We are a unique, fully accredited, educational program where young adults who are 16 to 25 years old study to earn their high school diploma or GED free of cost for the student. Our engaging and caring teachers provide standards-based, content-driven and project-based coursework where students have access to technology and numerous volunteer tutors. YouthBuild students also learn the value of serving their community and becoming active community participants by volunteering in nonprofit organizations, participating in sporting events and going camping in Yosemite National Park.

Cloud & Fire YouthBuild students work with our College and Career Advisor to identify their desired career and educational pathway after graduation from our program. While at Cloud & Fire, students receive OSHA 10, CPR, and First Aid certifications to help them become job ready. Our program also provides basic construction and woodworking as elective classes, where students have the opportunity to create useful projects, such as toddler beds, that will benefit families in need. Cloud & Fire also works closely with the local manufacturing sector to prepare students to enter jobs in machining and tooling or to prepare for apprenticeships in other manufacturing jobs.
