Education for Employment

Program Overview

At Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati, we believe in infinite possibilities for all abilities. Our mission is to break down barriers to employment and self-sufficiency for economically impoverished individuals with disabilities, individuals with disadvantages and veterans.

Our Education for Employment program features a range of digital learning options based on each participant's aptitude and interest. Individuals increase digital literacy and learn safe and responsible online practices for internet use (social media awareness, online privacy, purchasing, protection of personal information and "safe surfing" skills). All participants can receive academic tutoring and mentoring for remedial education, engage in a variety of online learning-based activities to improve social and emotional growth, take part in life-skills training and coaching, and participate in facilitated social and recreational activities – virtually and in the community.

For individuals who are at the job-readiness stage of our programs, Easterseals provides in-person and virtual job-skills/workforce development training which includes basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), resume 101-building, LinkedIn profiles and online job search accounts.
