Program Overview

Clarion Literacy Initiative is a free program in Baltimore, MD that helps adults learn English and build the skills they need for daily life. Our program is open to immigrants who are learning English, adults with little schooling, and anyone who needs help with reading, writing, or speaking in English. We can help you practice conversations for work and school, understand important documents, and build the confidence to communicate in your community.

Each session is based on your own needs and goals. We work with you at your own pace, and every lesson is personalized to your needs. Most sessions are held during evening hours at in person locations in the Baltimore area.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to help others in their community learn and grow. No special training is needed to volunteer.

Please reach out to info@clarionliteracy.org if you are a new learner, or if you are interested in volunteering with us.
