Program Overview

Clarendon County Adult Education Program

The Clarendon County Adult Education Program helps adults reach their goals in school, work, and life. Our classes are open to anyone age 17 or older who is not currently enrolled in high school.

We offer free classes to help students:

  • Earn their GED® or high school diploma
  • Improve their reading, writing, and math skills
  • Learn English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Prepare for college, job training, or career changes
  • Build important life and work skills like budgeting, computer use, and interviewing

Classes are small, friendly, and designed to fit busy schedules. We work with each student to create a plan that meets their needs.

Our program partners with local agencies like SC Works, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Department of Workforce Development to help students find jobs and training opportunities.

The Clarendon County Adult Education Center is located in Turbeville, South Carolina, with additional class sites across the county to make learning more convenient:

Turbeville (Main Site): Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday, 5:00–7:30 p.m.

Manning: Monday/Wednesday, 5:00–7:30 p.m.

Summerton: Tuesday/Thursday, 5:00–7:30 p.m.

Paxville: Tuesday/Thursday, 5:00-7:30 p.m.

We also offer flexible learning options, including day, evening, and online classes.

If you're ready to take the next step toward your future, we're here to help!
