Program Overview
The Alternative Education Institute (AEI) is a youth-serving, national evidence-based program model that helps disconnected young people between the ages of 16-25 reconnect with their communities and find pathways to success through service and education.
The AEI Program focuses on three educational components: Academics, Career, and Leadership. Students receive academic instruction to help prepare them to achieve their NJ State High School Diploma. The AEI curriculum focuses on Math, Social Studies, Science, English, Reading, and Writing. Students also participate in developing career plans, completing community service, and community development.
