Georgia State University Family Literacy Program

Program Overview

GSU Family Literacy Program offers literacy services to families and their kids served by community-based non-profit organizations that have an active partnership with our organization. Our program aims to equip parents with strategies to design cognitively engaging conversations in the context of language-rich read-aloud sessions, writing engagements and story telling. We also aim to design targeted reading support sessions for students of elementary age and higher who show significant delays in their print processing and reading comprehension skills in relation to grade-level expectations.
