CMAA provides free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to immigrants and refugees with limited English proficiency. Classes are offered in 4 levels ranging from beginner to low-intermediate and focus on preparing students for integration into the workforce and society. Higher-level students (Levels 3 and 4) take civics-focused ESL classes that cover information about citizenship, health resources, and other important topics. CMAA also offers free supplemental computer classes to enrolled ESL students that teach them to navigate computer functions and programs.
