Program Overview

Ferst is a program dedicated to supporting family literacy in preparing children , under the age of 5. for entering school. The program sponsors several programs to support the literacy of young children.

"Read to Me" Library - free age appropriate books sent to pparticipating families.

Leap to Books - monthly newsletter with suggestions on using this blog ok's book.

First Steps - program to provide resources and contacts for family needs , including adult literacy.

Parents as Teachers - home visitation program to support the complete development of the family structure which promotes learning.
