Program Overview

Our Pre GED Program is a great small group setting program which offers a structured learning environment, which targets various learning styles. Traditional teaching methods are used in conjunction with grade level computer software and internet course practice. In addition,students are introduced to Basic Keyboarding skills and terminology as they complete weekly assignments aligned to the new 2014 GED Exam.

Course Objective:

Reintroduce Middle School academic concepts to the adult learner who missed or forgot these Junior High course subjects. This program also provides computer skills and knowledge needed for the new computerized GED Exam.

¨In small and lager classroom settings, peer age students encourages one another as they seek to obtain skills for greater job opportunities, ability to assist their children with homework, or for self gratification.

¨This Center provides a mature academic environment which promotes learning, academic independence, and assist adult learners in removing previous learning barriers which occurred during their years as a youth.

Program’s Demographics/Metrics

CHEA Adult Skill Center is designed to provide educational training for low income adults age 25 and older, who are often over looked, distracted, discouraged, and embarrassed when they attend alternative education programs, along with younger students who also did not complete their high school education.
