Program Overview

Family Learning Center is a Gold Seal nationally accredited developmental childcare center offering individualized care to children. Parenting classes and support groups are offered to mothers who are receiving services for substance use disorders.

  • Community Child Care serves infants & toddlers in an Early Head Start child care model by providing daily high quality child care services to the enrolled children enrolled. We believe that all families deserve to have access to quality child care services and that children grow best in a nurturing environment. Our goal is to provide a quality early childhood program that promotes every child's development. We will assist parents in balancing the demands of work and family while respecting the culture and diversity of all the children and families we serve. We have adopted a curriculum that guides us in encouraging children to develop self-help, self-awareness, self-control, body expression, social play and language skills.
  • Nurturing Parenting classes are provided to women enrolled in the substance abuse treatment program. The curriculum
includes 16 group sessions and 2 or more additional individual sessions.
  • New Moms Network – weekly support group offered to pregnant women and new moms.
  • Rainbow Playgroup – Weekly developmental playgroup offered to the women enrolled in the residential
substance abuse treatment program and their children.

Generously funded by Children's Board of Hillsborough County and community foundations.
