Program Overview

The Adult Basic Education Program provides free one-on one tutoring and group education to adults who are English Language Learners, studying for the U.S. Citizenship test, and/or striving to improve basic reading and math skills. The goal is to help individuals build the basic skills they need to communicate in daily life, improve employment, and support their families' well-being.

Cost Info

CMC offers free one-on-one and group instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL), U.S. Citizenship Exam Preparation, and basic math or reading. Educational materials are provided free of charge to students completing at least four hours of study. The Catherine McAuley Center can also connect students to other community resources, and offers a children's learning center where children can be looked after while parents study.
