Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"I recently obtained my GED. This was one of my personal goals and I became convinced that I could achieve everything I set my mind to. It was a new challenge for me, since the classes were online due to the health situation worldwide. However, this was not an obstacle. I was able to use the tools that were available to us to help us prepare. I can say that it is not entirely easy. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy. Everything requires effort. In this country, we have to work very hard. But we should never be discouraged from wanting to get ahead. Everything is possible when we put in the extra effort for what we long for. I am very grateful to God, to Casa de Amistad, and all the teachers for helping us achieve our goals." (2021)
