Student and Volunteer Success Stories

A student enrolled in our high school equivalency class as a single mother. Although she worked full time, and had a baby to take care of, she made time to attend classes and to work outside of class to study for the exams. When she had setbacks, she did not let that stop her from trying the test again. The cost of the tests was a challenge for her, but she prioritized her education, and kept saving up what she needed. After several months, and many challenges along the way, she passed all of the subtests, and earned her high school equivalency. It was a very proud moment for her as she walked in our graduation ceremony that spring.
