Program Overview

The mission of the Transitional Studies Department of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is to educate and train individuals; thereby, improving their educational levels, increasing their opportunities for success, and allowing them to become better citizens, employees, and parents. The intent of Adult Education is to serve individuals 16 years of age or older who need help with the following:

  • Complete an Adult High School Diploma
  • Earn a high school equivalency
  • Improve job opportunities
  • Improve life skills
  • Improve reading, writing, or math skills
  • Learn to speak English as a second language

Cost Info

Classes are free, but there is a cost to take the high school equivalency tests. Scholarships are available for students who need assistance with the cost of the high school equivalency tests.
