Butterflies in Heels

Program Overview

Butterflies in Heels (formerly All About Me Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program) is a year round positive youth development program able to be offered as part of an after school or summer enrichment program or during the school day.

The program has been designed to help girls ages 10-19 learn to tap into their inner strengths and abilities so they can achieve their dreams. The goal of the program is to equip girls with valuable 21st century skills needed for increased self-confidence, successful career paths and adult self-sufficiency. Participants will learn these skills through services offered in literacy, career research, entrepreneurship, social emotional learning, field trips, college tours, motivational speakers, workshops, arts and crafts to name but a few. Individuals actively attending Butterflies in Heels will develop a growth mindset, learn about goal setting and achievement, learn about self-care, find their voices and feel confident making decisions that are best suited for them. Many of the skills needed to improve school grades and attendance.
