Building Bridges Through Reading

Program Overview

Focused on core academic enrichment, bilingual learning, social-emotional development, and cultural exploration, Bridging the Gap equips youth ages 8–14 from all backgrounds and ethnicities to thrive academically, socially, and culturally. This inclusive program supports students during the summer months and prepares them for a confident transition into the new school year.

Through engaging instruction in reading, math, and language development—along with hands-on cultural activities and social-emotional skill building—participants strengthen foundational knowledge, build confidence, and expand their worldview. The program intentionally welcomes and serves diverse communities, including English- and Spanish-speaking youth, fostering mutual respect, belonging, and cross-cultural understanding.
