Program Overview
The BOOST From Hope to Opportunity GED Program helps anyone who needs a GED and wants a better future. The program lasts 12 months and offers small classes with one-on-one help. Students learn all GED subjects, including Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. Each student gets a learning plan made just for them and help with taking tests. The program uses a rolling calendar for enrollment, so people can sign up throughout the year. Classes begin in the fall, and GED testing takes place between winter and spring, giving students time to learn and prepare at their own pace.
By the end of the program, students will take a GED test. Students who pass all four tests will be honored at a BOOST CDC ceremony. Students who do not pass will continue to receive help and support so they can keep learning and try again. Students who pass the GED test will be invited back as volunteers to help support the next group of learners.
Classes take place at BOOST CDC. Volunteers are welcome to help with tutoring, mentoring, classes, and special events. This program is open to anyone who is ready to learn, keep trying, and build a brighter future.
