Program Overview
Boolean Girl programming teaches girls and boys in 3rd-8th grade to code and creates confidence in writing and using technology, especially for girls who are often left out of tech.
What We Do: Our introductory program, Storytelling in Scratch, teaches children in grades 3-5 to become both authors and programmers! Students learn to write their own creative stories and then use Scratch, a drag-and-drop programming language, to bring them to life. They then move on to Code Your Own Adventure in Scratch, where they create and code stories in which the reader can choose where the action goes. Older children, grades 5-8, learn how to program a code your own adventure game using Python.
Locations: We meet in person at schools and community centers around the DC Metro area.
Services: We offer Saturday Morning Clubhouses, after-school clubs, and summer camps.

I loved the camp! I did not know how to code half of the things I can code now! The camp helped me a lot.
