Program Overview

BVCAP's Adult Education Program provides free educational services to adults seeking to improve basic skills, earn a high school equivalency, prepare for U.S. citizenship, and strengthen pathways to employment and postsecondary education. The program offers adult basic education, adult secondary education, English language acquisition, and citizenship preparation classes, with instruction in reading, writing, math, civics, and workforce readiness. Classes are learner-centered and designed to meet students at their individual skill levels. Services may include in-person and/or virtual instruction, individualized learning plans, transition support, and referrals to community resources. The program serves adults age 18 and older who are not enrolled in secondary school and supports learners in achieving greater self-sufficiency and long-term success.
