Student and Volunteer Success Stories
Josiah came to the Bethany Center for Adult Education in August of 2018. He had just been released from incarceration and was facing a future that he describes as fearful and unknown. He was embraced by our entire staff who encouraged him to come regularly and to work hard and allow us to help him build his future based on the present and not on his past.
Within a few weeks the staff described him as very motivated and determined, and also with a lot of potential. He began his testing with some very decent scores and began to make rapid progress. by the time November came Josiah was staring opportunities to take parts of the HISET test to begin his dream of graduating high school. It took him only two tries to take the HISET test to graduate high school!!! He is now enrolled in paramedic training to become a paramedic!
