Program Overview
WMFC is the place to be after school for students in grades K-12! Bullock Creek Public Schools provides daily bus transportation for students from Floyd Elementary School to the Center so that they can participate in a number of great after school activities.
Once students arrive at the Center, they can participate in a variety of activities some of which include crafts, recreation, STEM activities and guest speakers! Special guests from area agencies visit our program. They provide fun, educational opportunities and unique experiences for ASP students. In addition, children are taught positive action lessons which are designed to develop and instill positive social behaviors, such as non- bullying and playing fair!
WMFC strongly believes that education should not end at school. As a result, ASP students have a time each day that is specifically set aside for homework and assisted reading. If a child needs extra help or assistance in their school work, WMFC staff members are proactive in finding the help that is needed.
West Midland Family Center offers scholarships to qualifying families. This is determined during enrollment. Parents and guardians will need to provide one month family gross income in order to be considered for scholarship monies.
