Program Overview

Brooklyn Public Library's Bedford Adult Learning Center provides free innovative educational programs for adult learners and speakers of other languages. Through books, technology and interactive small group instruction taught by professional and friendly instructors and tutors, adults build the skills needed to meet their personal, educational, and employment goals.

Program Offerings:

Adult Basic Education (ABE) Reading Levels 0-5

Pre-HSE Reading Levels 5-8

High School Equivalency Reading Levels 9-12

TASC testing (formerly GED)

National External Diploma Program (NEDP)

Young Adult Literacy Program (YALP) Ages 17-24

College and Career Access

Business and Career Centers

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
