BCBCC ESL

Program Overview

We currently offer ESL services to nearly 50 students at 3 locations, where they can choose our day programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays or our evening classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Currently we are at our capacity; however, with the completion of our new 15,000 sq. ft. building, we will be able to increase participants.

Through our partnership with Beaufort County School Adult Education program, BCBCC will work with our students to prepare them for Unites States Citizenship.

Educational Programming (Development Services); We offer a wide array of free classes for little to nonspeaking English-speaking residents. These ESL classes are provided to help improve their English skills and public speaking abilities. Classes are provided to improve their English skills and public speaking abilities. Classes include beginners, intermediate, and advance levels addressing their educational needs, along with supplementary cross-cultural programs.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

Our program is new, BCBCC jumped on this vital community

need last year when the Beaufort County School District/Adult Education Division decided to discontinue their ESL classes. In partnership with Beaufort County School District (BCSD) we were able to start our first class on October 15, 2017. We are serving students from the following countries: Japan, China,
Vietnam, Ukraine, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Our staff are all volunteer former educators.
