Austin Learning Academy

Program Overview

Austin Learning Academy is an Austin-based non profit that has been serving the community for 25 years. We offer FREE classes city-wide. Classes offered include ABE (Adult Basic Education) and GED (General Education Diploma) preparation classes which offer academic and workforce curriculum that prepares students for employment, job training programs and higher education.

Our ESL program offers English as Second Language (ESL) classes for adult learners which address themes and issues meaningful to adults living in the United States. The instruction is focused on developing critical thinking, cultural awareness, building language, technology, and life skills.

Austin Learning Academy instructors have over 20 years Experience in Adult Education and are Texas licensed and certified teachers. They provide a student-friendly learning environment that combines whole class instruction, activities, and individual study plans to ensure every students' success. Classes are held daily and nightly at various AISD schools and public libraries around Austin.
