The day will end with the student coming together to reflect and build self-appraisal. On Friday, students will hand in reading logs and progress reports. Friday will be designated for enrichment activities or interventions from partnerships. Each Friday will be a time of celebration and highlighting success or progress of any kind. The ABB summer program will begin the
week after the school year ends and run until the week before the new school year begins, June- August. The schedule consists of two, 1 hour academic sessions and two 1hour enrichment sessions. The academic sessions will
include Math, Literacy lessons, social studies and science supervised by credentialed teachers. ABB looks to reduce academic learning loss by reviewing material from previous grade and introduce new concepts and material for upcoming year. ABB staff will build rapport with program participants and their families through services provided during the afterschool program. This will allow ABB staff to have a better understanding
of the needs of students and families.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories
" I have vever had any one to stick with me or help me like you have"
This was a quote form a college student that Array tutored. He was recruited in college for his skills in football. He attended college and played football for awhile and deceided he did not want to play anymore. He decided to join the band and played on the drumline as a symbol player. He noticed his grades were declining no matter how hard he studied or tryed. He had a slight mental disability along with writing and reading comprehension. This made it extremely difficult understanding what he heard and read. He was ready to give up, due to his grades where unacceptable on a collegiate level. He and his mom reached out to Array for help. Array scheduled meetings with the Dean and his professors. There were decisions mad collectively that best suited his needs so that he would not drop out of college. Through days, weeks and two and half years of tutoring and mentoring him, he was able to graduate from collge with a bachelor degree in Computer Science. He graduatled and was asssited with gaining employment in his major.
