Program Overview
Since 1975, we have provided basic reading assistance, tutor training for parents and family members of those struggling to learn to read, and training and consultation for organizations wishing to add a literacy component to their outreach. Our primary textbook, The Christian Literacy Series, was originally created by our Founder William E. Kofmehl, Jr. Ph.D. Most of our textbooks have a Christian, Bible-content portion. All of our textbooks are professionally designed by educators and intended for use by non-professional volunteer tutors or family members to teach both adults and children how to read. For 40 years, we have provided the key to eliminate illiteracy, build relationships, and share the Good News using The Christian Literacy Series.Cost Info
Tutor Training in the use of The Christian Literacy Series is free. The textbooks range in price from $50 to $100. Other services include individual or small group tutoring which are available seasonally and slots are limited. The fee, if any, for these services depends upon the program chosen.
