Program Overview

The Alfalit Conversational English (ACE) program utilizes the Total Physical Response (TPR) teaching method, a proven approach to language acquisition based on the concept that second language acquisition can be accelerated as students first listen to the teacher speak and model actions, and then students demonstrate comprehension by responding to teacher commands. This methodology consists of demonstration, modeling, prompting, and when in person working with small groups. This method is particularly effective for novice students, allowing them to comprehend and respond to English commands before actively speaking and creating a supportive environment for language learning.
