Program Overview

The AI Literacy Bridge is a free afterschool program for students in grades 6–12 who attend Birmingham City Schools. The program supports students who are learning English or need help with reading and writing.

Students meet each week in small groups to read, build vocabulary, and practice writing. They use laptops and other tools to get help with their work and improve their skills step by step. Students also take part in fun activities like virtual tours, storytelling, and connecting with students in other countries.

The program runs from October through December and is part of a larger out-of-school-time program. It takes place at local community partner sites in Birmingham. Students will get books, materials, and support from trained instructors.
