Program Overview

The Aggies READ Initiative helps children build strong reading skills. We give families free, high‑quality books and fun literacy activities. Children can enjoy story times, meet authors, and take part in hands‑on learning events. NC A&T Literacy Scholars lead family reading nights and teach parents simple ways to support reading at home. We offer books in many languages and welcome children of all ages in our community. Each year, the program ends with the Aggies READ Book Festival, a free event with stories, games, and learning stations. Our goal is to help children become confident readers and to support families, teachers, and the community.
