Program Overview
The Adult Literacy & Workforce Readiness Program helps adults in Sacramento build reading, writing, math, and English skills in a supportive and welcoming space. The program is free and open to adults ages 18 and older who want to improve basic skills, prepare for the GED, or learn English for work and daily life.
Classes are offered in small groups and one-on-one, both in person at community locations and online. Caring instructors and tutors work at a pace that fits each learner's needs. No prior experience is required. We welcome immigrants, parents, job seekers, and adults returning to school after time away.
Support with goal setting, digital skills, and referrals to jobs and training programs is also available.
