Program Overview

Placentia Library Adult Literacy Program offers free one-to-one and small group tutoring for adults ages 18 or older. We work with adult learners who want to achieve personal goals. All study materials are provided for free. Meet with a volunteer tutor 1-2 times per week for 1-2 hours. Flexible scheduling available.

Some learner goals include:
  • Communicate with family, doctors, and the community
  • Read a book or newspaper
  • Read with your children
  • Apply for a job or get a better job
  • Pass the citizenship test or the GED/HiSET test
