Program Overview
SWEPT offers several programs which help participants gain the skills and opportunities to succeed. The pathway you choose will take you through a career path leading to gainful employment.
Each semester SWEPT offers GED courses that prepare students to take the High School Equivalency exam in 12 weeks or less. In addition, SWEPT provides English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, in which certified ESL teachers provide instruction in all subject areas—including language arts, science, history, writing, and math—in both Spanish and English.
SWEPT also offers a Workforce Ready soft skills course, which covers stress and time management skills, resume and cover letter writing workshops, and computer skills. SWEPT offers an Entrepreneurial Track that serves individuals interested in starting their own business. This course covers business structures, what is needed to start a business, financial literacy and accounting, product development, marketing, planning, customer service, etc.
