Program Overview

WPL's approach to literacy and learning is outcome based which results in learners making measurable positive changes in the areas of behavior, attitude, skills and conditions. Focused on the learner's functional literacy needs, all services focus on building key adult basic skills. Adult Learning at WPL includes a wide array of literacy based classes, workshops and programs that lay the foundation for improving basic reading, writing and math skills; learning to speak and read in English, obtaining a GED certificate, as well as addressing functional literacy needs such as computer skills, job readiness, functional health literacy, Temporary Drivers License Program, Spanish Literacy/GED , and ESL Conversation Classes.
