Program Overview

PPLD offers free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adult immigrants; people from other countries who do not speak English; and people who have lived in the U.S. for many years, but do not speak English well. ESL classes will help you improve your workplace and everyday language. Classes are focused on: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. We offer Beginning, Intermediate and High-Intermediate class levels.

The GED, HiSET and TASC are alternatives to a high school diploma. PPLD offer Adult Basic Education (ABE) and High School Equivalency (HSE) free classes that will help adults for such tests. We offer preparation for Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science tests. The process requires attending classes, studying, and finally passing all battery exams for the credential sought.
