Program Overview

The Urban League of Greater Kansas City offers free GED classes for adults who want to earn their high school diploma. Our classes are open to individuals who are 18 years or older and ready to take the next step in their education. Students receive support in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies to help them prepare for the GED test.

Classes are taught by caring instructors who understand that many students are balancing work, family, and other responsibilities. We provide a welcoming and supportive learning space where students can learn at their own pace and ask questions.

Classes are held at the Urban League of Greater Kansas City, and staff are available to help students with enrollment and next steps after completing the program. Earning your GED can open the door to better job opportunities, college, or job training programs. Volunteers who want to support adult learners are also welcome.
